    EN 1888:2019

    The POD Stroller is tested to 15kg according to the British Pushchair Standard BS EN 1888 : 2018 . This standard consists of more than 30+ Tough Safety and Durability tests. The test includes : 

    ROLLING ROAD TEST  

      This test involves wheeling the pushchair for over 200km ( 124 miles ) on a bumpy treadmill. The distance this test covers is approx. equivalent to travelling from London to Birmingham. The pushchair is loaded with the weight of a baby in the seat and a full shopping basket. The test covers the effect of pavements and potholes. 

      SAFETY TESTS

        Pushchair experts search out any choking hazards and traps for arms, legs or fingers. The handle bar strength is tested using special equipment that repeatedly pushes them up and down 10,000 repetitions.

        HARNESSES

          A test dummy baby is dangled from the pushchair's harness to ensure they are strong and secure enough to keep your child safe and secure. 

          BRAKES

            The application and effectiveness of the brake is tested as well as whether they will come in the way when you walk.

            ECE R129:iSIZE

            The car seat of choice is the BEBYLUX MODEL1 car seat which benefits from iSIZE safety rating. iSIZE is part of a UN Safety Regulation. iSIZE car seats fit into all cars using the isofix points, if your car does not have isofix points then you can still secure the car seat using the seat belt of one of the rear passenger seats complying with ECE R99 safety standard. The iSIZE safety test includes:

            Q DUMMY USED FOR CRASH TESTING WITH 32 SENSORS
